Blog Love

Lovin’ Keiko’s Voices of PCOS!

OK, so this is the last week of PCOS Awareness Month. As a special blog love post tonight, I would like to link to the Voices of PCOS series that Keiko did on her blog, Hannah Wept, Sara Laughed. She posted 5 stories (including her own) a couple weeks ago and these ladies certainly poured their hearts out sharing! They are all worth a read. So, here’s the link. Please send along your love and support! Thanks Keiko! ;-)

Lovin’ Lynn!

It’s PCOS Blog Love Time! (and it’s only 1 blogger today!)

Oh, and check out my PCOS awareness giveaway!

 Fighting PCOS Naturally
Tonight, I’m lovin’ Lynn from Fighting PCOS Naturally.  She has a great article about How To Lose Weight With PCOS that you should check out. Also, she posts some awesome recipes on her blog like gluten free eggplant and tomato pizza and gluten free chocolate heaven in a cup!  Lynn participates in Goodnight Moon’s What’s your song? Link up, which I think I may have to join because I’m always looking for new and old songs to listen to! Most recently it’s finally cooler in Texas where she lives so she went on a Labor Day picnic in the park. Anyway, check her out and send her some love!

Lovin’ Aprilvak, JM, and Sybil!

It’s Blog Love time! I decided to find blogs that are PCOS related since it’s PCOS Awareness Month, so here we go…

First up, I’m lovin’ Aprilvak from Where Do We Go From Here? She raises some good points about comments and Facebook’s breast cancer awareness meme in this post Secrets Don’t Make Awareness. And in From Me to We, she expresses how her blog has developed and is making a difference, which I love! Go give her a shout out!

Next up, I’m lovin’ JM from Meier Madness!  She is 7DPO and bored at the moment and trying to see when the HCG is out of her system until it’s back in (you got that right? ;-) )! And she has a thought vomit Thursday post with a little bit of this and that thrown in. Go wish her some luck with this IUI!

And lastly, I’m lovin’ Sybil from Sybil and Alex. In the Art of Conception, she explains what she’s learned about fertility and how that relates to her PCOS in an interesting analogy. And she just finished up IVF #2but didn’t transfer her ”snowbabies” because of symptoms of OHSS. Go wish her luck for a future FET!

Furry Friday Friend Link Up

Ok, here’s the link up for this week and the last one for the month! Write up your quick posts about your furbabies (or longer if you have the time to pour your heart out, we greatly encourage it!), and then link up here. If you’re here from ICLW, welcome and thanks for stopping by! If you’re confused about what’s going on, see more details in this Link Up post!   ;-)

Lovin’ Lauren, Damita, and Sarah!

So, it’s ICLW time and in case you don’t know,  I do a little thing I like to call Blog Love Mondays where I pick bloggers at random off my blogroll. So, if you’re not on my list, let me know and I’ll add you on! At this time, I usually randomly select off the ICLW list but this week, since I’m featuring furry friends for Friends Month, I started reading and commenting until I found bloggers with four legged companions! So here we go:

First up, I’m lovin’ Lauren from Not Just an Army Wife. She has two pups, Bella (her crazy daschund) and Murphy (her lovable corgi). Read her  ICLW post to learn more about her. And, she is now 3 days past her IUI so go wish her some luck!

Ok, next we have Damita from Digital-Damita.net. She has 3 cats Arthur, Kit, and Onion with pictures of them on a recent wordless Wednesday post. She has been trying to look for a job at the moment, so go wish her some luck as well! In other news, she’s been trying to get pregnant for a year now and is venting about “relaxing.”

And last but not least, we have Sarah from The Rocky Road to Motherhood. She has two cats, Poppy and Lucy who you can see in her about me page. But even more exciting than that, she is a new mom and has adorable pics of her son! And she recently found out he has a heart condition and will need open heart surgery soon, so keep him in your prayers and send good wishes along.

Go send some ICLW love!

And don’t forget to write up your posts about your fur babies/furry friends to link up on Friday! ;-)

Virtual Friends Blog Love!

So the topic this week is Virtual Friends. So what makes a great virtual friend? Well, in my opinion, he/she supports you in every way they can. Perhaps they read and comment often on your blog, or link back to you in their posts, or retweet your tweets.  Maybe they are on Facebook giving you encouragement, or often wishing you luck on Twitter or they are always there for you in the message boards you frequent (which is where I had many virtual friends through my journey). Ultimately they are your cheerleader when you need it the most. There are many things a virtual friend does and perhaps, they don’t even know how much they are appreciated for the little things they do. Well, now’s your chance to tell them. This Friday, I’m having another link-up. Write a post about one or more of your best virtual friends sometime this week, tell them about it, and then link back here. And, SunnyMamma (a wonderful virtual friend who often retweets my posts) has a Sharing Hope link up, so if you are participating in that, you can do both this Friday by writing a post about how your virtual friend offers you hope in one way or another.

So, here’s my special Blog Love Virtual Friend Post for this week. It was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just 3! I am grateful for all of you! Truly!

First up, I’m lovin’ Andrea from Life, Love & Pursuit of our Fairytale. She has been such a great friend supporting me on this blog. She was one of the first to subscribe to my RSS feed and religiously comments on my posts with such thoughtful and encouraging words. In fact, I recently gave her an award for being my top commenter! She has also offered to share her success story and write a guest blog post, hopefully coming soon. Thank you Andrea for being there for me! I appreciate it so much! ;-)

Next up is Rebecca from The Road Less Traveled. Rebecca has also commented quite a bit on my blog with such kind hearted support. Also, she has shared her success story when she got pregnant, but sadly lost her daughter Lily. She now has her son Ian and I hope she will give us another success story when she can. Her blog posts are thoughtful (I love how she adds a quote or links to a song) and her strength is amazing! She is like a pillar of hope and encouragement! Thank you Rebecca!

And last but not least is Keiko from Hannah Wept, Sarah Laughed. She is someone who not only supports me through retweets and link-ups but she often features my posts in her Infertility Insights Daily e-newspaper! I also love how much she inspires me to be better and strive for more. She’s incredibly creative (have you seen her What IF? award winning video?) and she’s also a wonderful infertility advocate which is really quite admirable as she is still in the midst of her plight. Thank you Keiko for being such a strong voice in our community!

Virtual Hugger Award!

PhotobucketSo, for my Blog Love post, I decided to create an award for my top commenters! They, after all, have been great cyber friends giving so many virtual hugs! I have never met these bloggers in person, but they are out there, tirelessly supporting me and many others I’m sure. They have BIG hearts and I appreciate it so much! So, here are the rules!

  Virtual Hugger Award Rules:

  1. Thank the person who gave it to you (and link back)
  2. Give 3 Reasons why you LOVE comments and want them to keep on coming!
  3. Award your top 10 commenters and tell them they won the award! (*Most blogger software has widgets/plugins that can figure out who they are!)

OK! I LOVE comments because they:

  1. Make my day!
  2. Remind me that my blog is important to others
  3. Help me to meet and support other bloggers on their journey

Here are my top 10 commenters:

  1. Andrea from Life, Love & Persuit of Our Fairy Tale
  2. Tara from Me Plus One
  3. Hannah from Hannah & Sam
  4. Rebecca from The Road Less Traveled
  5. Christina from The Subfertile Frugalista
  6. Aly from The Infertility Overachievers
  7. Kristin from Dragondremer’s Lair
  8. Ashley from Stealing Baby Kisses
  9. Junebug from Junebug’s Musings
  10. Holly from Ready to Be a Mom

Thank you to all my commenters! And keep on spreading the love! ;-)

Adoption Blog Love!

So, since I don’t have my blogroll insanely organized like Mel does over at Stirrup Queens, it is quite difficult to go through my list and randomly pick out those to feature for adoption updates. Instead, I’m just going to link up to her adoption “room” so you can check in on the many, many blogs out there that are in varying degrees of adoption and send them all (or as many as you can) your blog love this month!  Thanks Mel! ;-)

Lovin’ Empty Arms, Broken Heart, Kerry, and PCOS Chick!

So, sorry for not having anything new until now. I was away and then quite sick the past couple of days. I’m still not 100% but life goes on…so here’s the blog love post I didn’t have the energy for yesterday and since I’ve dedicated July to everything ADOPTION, I am going to randomly select from my list until I get adoption related blogs! ;-)

Ok, first up is Empty Arms, Broken Heart. In her newest post, she has a beautiful poem you must read. And in this post, she writes in depth about how she is now changing gears to pursue adoption amd stop infertility treatments, which I’m sure is a very difficult decision. Go support her and wish her luck!

Next up, we have Kerry from Meant to Be. Lately, she’s addicted to watermelon! (And who isn’t? That’s such a great summer treat!) And in this post, she writes about the dog days of summer (which sounds quite relaxin’) with no news being good news. Go send her some summer love!

His & Her InfertilityAnd last but not least, we have PCOS Chick who strangely enough was featured exactly a year ago just starting her home-study! She is now anxiously waiting for LP to come into her life.  In this post, I love how she is pouring her heart out about her infertility! And here’s a book she’s recommending to her readers so if you’re pursuing adoption check it out!
