Blog Love

Lovin’ Heather, Jill, and Lees J!

It’s that time of the week again! It’s BL time! ;-)

First up is Heather from A Little Hope in My Pocket. She recently took a trip to Alaska and has amazing photos (with another trip part here and here)! She also participated in a Walk To Remember with her family to honor her little boy in heaven, Isaac where they released balloons. Go send her some love and support!

Next up is Jill from High Heels and Huggies. She is quite profound in her post Say hello to the Green Eyed Monster complete with life lessons. I love when she writes, Don’t let it consume you.” She has an interesting vlog on Pimples and Parenting Choices. And in Not sad but not happy either, she discusses giving up, but hoping for a green light for an upcoming IUI. Go wish her luck and send her some love!

And lastly, we have Lees J from Under Our Tree. She has recently celebrated her sixth year wedding anniversary and has scheduled an appointment with an RE. Love how she says, “after all we’ve been through, we have been through it together.” How sweet! She recently had a BFN and in The art of losing what you never had , she is contemplating her next steps. Go send her some love, support and happy wishes!

Lovin’ Jaime, Lyndsay, and Darek!

It’s BL time! ;-)

First up is Jaime from IUI to Roux-en-Y to ?? She went through a Roux-en-Y bypass surgery this summer and has now lost 100 pounds! Wow! She admits to being a bad blogger but has been busy with phlebotomy classes. Jaime participated in ICLW last month, so here’s a welcome post all about her history. And in her newest post, she is thanking all her new followers and celebrating her first anniversary! Go congratulate her and say hello!

Next up is Lyndsay from Waiting for that Positive.  In her Positivity post, she lists all the things that are positive for her right now as she waits for her upcoming IUI cycle! She has had some ups and downs that you can read about. And, she recently reviewed The Conception Chronicles for The Ladies in Waiting Book Club. Check it out and wish her some luck!

And lastly, I’m lovin’ Darek from The Eternal Guest Room! She is scared about her upcoming IVF cycle and overwhelmed by the process. She recently visited the newest member of her family, her sister’s son and expresses some real moments of sadness but I love it when she writes, “Sometimes the hardest things in life turn out to be the best things you can do, and this was one of them.” And in something crazy, she recently decided to lead her support group which she has been going to for over a year and a half but has been so shy at. Go send her some love and encouragement and wish her some luck!

Lovin’ Evedelilah, Shelli, and Andrea!

It’s Blog Love time and I’ve been out of my usual BL routine, so I’m excited to dive back in to my list. ;-)

First up, I’m lovin’ Evedelilah from Tripping Over Life’s Hurdles. She has a very poignant post about hope called Feeling Unpretty in a Pretty World. And in Not So Patiently Waiting, she tells all about the busy plans underway of moving, starting the process of foster parenting, a surgery and an upcoming IVF. Also, check out the books she read over the summer! (*I just added one of them to my Shelfari!) Wish her some luck and send her some love!

Next up is Shelli from BagMomma. She had a recent and unfortunate doctor visit where she was told her hair loss is most likely a by-product of stress in Hair today, gone tomorrow. She also had a recent 9/11 post called Ten Years. And in The Wheel, she writes about feeling like a failure, something so relatable and yet so raw. Hugs Shelli! Go send her some love!

And lastly, is Andrea from Palm Trees & Rainy Days. Her Meds have been ordered for her IVF cycle which is starting soon and she is super excited! She linked to an interesting article on the benefits of DHEA which her RE recommended. And, she is also questioning the Why? I’ve asked it too a thousand times and I’m sure you have too but I love when she says, “I truly believe we are some of THE strongest women out there.” Go wish her some luck and send some love her way!

OK, so this is the last week of PCOS Awareness Month. As a special blog love post tonight, I would like to link to the Voices of PCOS series that Keiko did on her blog, Hannah Wept, Sara Laughed. September ICLW!

Hello out there and welcome to my corner of the Internet! I am so excited that Fall is here and I’m looking forward to some fall foliage as I drive into Connecticut today for a family wedding. I’ve been writing this blog for nearly 2 years, shortly after my miracle twins were born via IVF. I also have a daughter who was my first IVF miracle and she is now 4 1/2. I recently wrote a memoir about my journey that I am self publishing and it will be out soon. It’s called Ordinary Miracles and I’m very excited about it!

It’s PCOS awareness month and I’m having a  PCOS Awareness giveaway you should check out! (Not a lot of people have entered…hint, hint!) And there’s been lots of great information, success stories, and bloggers all related to PCOS this month, so stay around for a while and catch up! ;-)

I wanted to link to another great site today for Fertility News Friday. The site has a wealth of info. Go to: Your Guide to PCOS. Happy Reading!

P.S. I’m still looking for guest bloggers to share their experiences with PCOS. If you’re interested in writing a post for this blog this month, contact me at sfinfertility@optimum.net.

Lovin’ Lynn!

It’s PCOS Blog Love Time! (and it’s only 1 blogger today!)

Oh, and check out my PCOS awareness giveaway!

 Fighting PCOS Naturally
Tonight, I’m lovin’ Lynn from Fighting PCOS Naturally.  She has a great article about How To Lose Weight With PCOS that you should check out. Also, she posts some awesome recipes on her blog like gluten free eggplant and tomato pizza and gluten free chocolate heaven in a cup!  Lynn participates in Goodnight Moon’s What’s your song? Link up, which I think I may have to join because I’m always looking for new and old songs to listen to! Most recently it’s finally cooler in Texas where she lives so she went on a Labor Day picnic in the park. Anyway, check her out and send her some love!

Lovin’ Aprilvak, JM, and Sybil!

It’s Blog Love time! I decided to find blogs that are PCOS related since it’s PCOS Awareness Month, so here we go…

First up, I’m lovin’ Aprilvak from Where Do We Go From Here? She raises some good points about comments and Facebook’s breast cancer awareness meme in this post Secrets Don’t Make Awareness. And in From Me to We, she expresses how her blog has developed and is making a difference, which I love! Go give her a shout out!

Next up, I’m lovin’ JM from Meier Madness!  She is 7DPO and bored at the moment and trying to see when the HCG is out of her system until it’s back in (you got that right? ;-) )! And she has a thought vomit Thursday post with a little bit of this and that thrown in. Go wish her some luck with this IUI!

And lastly, I’m lovin’ Sybil from Sybil and Alex. In the Art of Conception, she explains what she’s learned about fertility and how that relates to her PCOS in an interesting analogy. And she just finished up IVF #2but didn’t transfer her ”snowbabies” because of symptoms of OHSS. Go wish her luck for a future FET!

Lovin’ Lauren, Damita, and Sarah!

So, it’s ICLW time and in case you don’t know,  I do a little thing I like to call Blog Love Mondays where I pick bloggers at random off my blogroll. So, if you’re not on my list, let me know and I’ll add you on! At this time, I usually randomly select off the ICLW list but this week, since I’m featuring furry friends for Friends Month, I started reading and commenting until I found bloggers with four legged companions! So here we go:

First up, I’m lovin’ Lauren from Not Just an Army Wife. She has two pups, Bella (her crazy daschund) and Murphy (her lovable corgi). Read her  ICLW post to learn more about her. And, she is now 3 days past her IUI so go wish her some luck!

Ok, next we have Damita from Digital-Damita.net. She has 3 cats Arthur, Kit, and Onion with pictures of them on a recent wordless Wednesday post. She has been trying to look for a job at the moment, so go wish her some luck as well! In other news, she’s been trying to get pregnant for a year now and is venting about “relaxing.”

And last but not least, we have Sarah from The Rocky Road to Motherhood. She has two cats, Poppy and Lucy who you can see in her about me page. But even more exciting than that, she is a new mom and has adorable pics of her son! And she recently found out he has a heart condition and will need open heart surgery soon, so keep him in your prayers and send good wishes along.

Go send some ICLW love!

And don’t forget to write up your posts about your fur babies/furry friends to link up on Friday! ;-)

Virtual Friends Blog Love!

So the topic this week is Virtual Friends. So what makes a great virtual friend? Well, in my opinion, he/she supports you in every way they can. Perhaps they read and comment often on your blog, or link back to you in their posts, or retweet your tweets.  Maybe they are on Facebook giving you encouragement, or often wishing you luck on Twitter or they are always there for you in the message boards you frequent (which is where I had many virtual friends through my journey). Ultimately they are your cheerleader when you need it the most. There are many things a virtual friend does and perhaps, they don’t even know how much they are appreciated for the little things they do. Well, now’s your chance to tell them. This Friday, I’m having another link-up. Write a post about one or more of your best virtual friends sometime this week, tell them about it, and then link back here. And, SunnyMamma (a wonderful virtual friend who often retweets my posts) has a Sharing Hope link up, so if you are participating in that, you can do both this Friday by writing a post about how your virtual friend offers you hope in one way or another.

So, here’s my special Blog Love Virtual Friend Post for this week. It was extremely difficult to narrow it down to just 3! I am grateful for all of you! Truly!

First up, I’m lovin’ Andrea from Life, Love & Pursuit of our Fairytale. She has been such a great friend supporting me on this blog. She was one of the first to subscribe to my RSS feed and religiously comments on my posts with such thoughtful and encouraging words. In fact, I recently gave her an award for being my top commenter! She has also offered to share her success story and write a guest blog post, hopefully coming soon. Thank you Andrea for being there for me! I appreciate it so much! ;-)

Next up is Rebecca from The Road Less Traveled. Rebecca has also commented quite a bit on my blog with such kind hearted support. Also, she has shared her success story when she got pregnant, but sadly lost her daughter Lily. She now has her son Ian and I hope she will give us another success story when she can. Her blog posts are thoughtful (I love how she adds a quote or links to a song) and her strength is amazing! She is like a pillar of hope and encouragement! Thank you Rebecca!

And last but not least is Keiko from Hannah Wept, Sarah Laughed. She is someone who not only supports me through retweets and link-ups but she often features my posts in her Infertility Insights Daily e-newspaper! I also love how much she inspires me to be better and strive for more. She’s incredibly creative (have you seen her What IF? award winning video?) and she’s also a wonderful infertility advocate which is really quite admirable as she is still in the midst of her plight. Thank you Keiko for being such a strong voice in our community!
