Believe!

  It’s another special blog love post for this month. I know with Christmas less than 2 weeks away and Hanukkah in 8 days, it may be hard to have happy thoughts and feel merry and bright. All the commercials are centered around happy kids waiting for Santa, the mailbox may be filling with holiday cards adorned with adorable baby pictures from your family and friends, and every-one’s talking about the perfect gifts to give. But your perfect gift isn’t the one you can wrap up with a big bow and leave under the tree. And most likely, you’re having a hard time believing the happy family holiday you once dreamed of will ever happen. Well, I’m here to boost your beliefs.

   One Christmas (not too long ago) I was feeling very low. Although I already had my one little IVF miracle, I had tried all of that year unsuccessfully with 6 months of natural trying, a chemical pregnancy from a fresh IVF cycle, and a negative result from an FET. I found it hard to believe that we could be anything more than a family of three. And, then the next FET we did after the holiday worked and the following Christmas was the first for my twins who are now 2 years old! Believe in miracles!

I am leaving you this video I had linked to last year. It is a powerful one. My wish is that it gives you some hope…I believe that there’s a change around the corner.

It’s Coming on Christmas

  So, It’s Blog Love Monday where I usually feature 3 bloggers at random and write about their happenings in their life according to their most recent blog posts. But this month during the holidays I’ve decided to change things up a bit. I know the holidays are pretty difficult when dealing with infertility. I’ve been there. And, while I would love to give some extra love out there to some ladies, I know you all need a lot of love. So, I’m going to do a little something special each Monday this month to share some blog love to all of you who happen to stop by.

   I was just decorating my tree and started listening to my Christmas play list and heard this song. It’s called River by Sarah McLachlan. It’s pretty old, many of you probably have heard it before. It really is one of my favorites because it carries so much emotion. I wanted to share it with all of you because I think when we are going through infertility, we all wish we had a river we could skate away on, especially when “it’s coming on Christmas“. The lyrics are beautiful. I want you to take it in and remember that we are all here, perhaps hurting and feeling alone.  While everyone is “Cutting down trees, putting up reindeer and singing songs of joy and peace,” all we may want to do is hide and skate away. But, we can have faith. It may be coming on Christmas, but it’s also coming on a new year of possibilities. Believe in the magic of the holiday season and don’t let that slip away.

Lovin’ Sara, J.D.W. Montgomery, Katherinebee!

 It’s Blog Love time! ;-)

  First up, I’m lovin’ Sara from empty whole. She recently wrote about some results from her husband’s hormone tests and is now deciding her next steps in tricks and treats. There has been some changes in her family with gaining/losing a cousin which you can read about here. And a little while ago, lost power but got power restored. Go send her some love!

  Next up is J.D.W. Montgomery from Life’s Breath. She has a wonderful Thanksgiving post which includes a sweet memory of her grandmother and of being thankful. In Dropping the hate: Day 51, and in Day 44, J.D.W. writes with such conviction on all the positive changes she has had like making healthy choices! Love that! Go send her some love and encouragement!

 And lastly, we have Katherinebee who blogs at Waiting for Bee. She has an update on her recent FET cycle which was cancelled due to a thin lining and she is trying to keep her head up and find hope.  In still here,  and Things are tough, Katherinebee is trying to figure out why her last IVF didn’t work out. She really could use a few virtual hugs right about now. Go send her some love!

Tomorrow, I’m reviewing Test Tubes and Testosterone by Michael Suanders, (aka @theIVFdad). It’s a wonderful memoir from the male POV which is so refreshing! So do come back!

  On Mondays, I post a blog love post. You usually need to be on my blog roll and I randomly select you. (So if you’re not, just tell me and I’ll add you on!) During ICLW however, I randomly choose from that list. But today, I am extending a virtual hug to all on the list this month, I will try my hardest to get to most of you with a comment this week.

  And with the holidays coming up, I’m sure everyone likes to talk about what they’re thankful for. Well, I am thankful for my miracles of course. My daughter is now 4 1/2 (via an IVF) and my b/g twins are now 2 (via an FET cycle). You can read more about my journey in my upcoming memoir Ordinary Miracles which will be self published within the next few months. I am also thankful for this amazing online community because you are all so strong and supportive. And, I’m thankful for ICLW because it allows me the opportunity to meet others I may never have stumbled upon.

Lovin’ Liz, Lavonne, and manymanymoons!

   It’s Blog Love time!!

Ok, first up is Liz from Compromised Fertility. In her newest post, she’s catching us up on the latest news. She is hoping to get an FET scheduled soon. Also, she is talking about building her professional career but is not so sure she is strong enough at the moment. But I love when she says, “I know I am a stronger person for the things I have been through.” In another post where she got a positive OPK for the first time, she is wondering if you’ve ever considered being your own RE? And Liz also has some sad news. Her favorite nurse (who supported her so much at her clinic) recently passed away from cancer. Go send her some love, support and good wishes!

  Next up is Lavonne from Our Wish. In Loss of Nothing, she writes about how an adoption lead through a family member fell through and she’s been feeling odd and outraged. In general though, Lavonne is feeling kind of lost in a storm which I know I can relate to. But she does now have a cool mustang which was inspired by her awesome Vegas trip complete with pics! Check it out and send her some love!

  And lastly, we have manymanymoons from Many Many Moons. In her newest post: Aloha and Anniversaries, she is in Hawaii at the moment relaxing by the pool…you could say I’m just a tad jealous.  More exciting news is that she has a potential birth mother narrowing her choices down who is meeting with her adoption agency and it’s also her blogaversary! She has a Thought Vomit Thursday post that’s just a wee-wee bit funny! ;-) And a really sweet post about her wedding song! Go send her some love, good luck, and bon voyage wishes!

Lovin’ Maria, Stefanie, and Jenny!

  It’s Blog Love time, ICLW style! ;-)

  First on the ICLW list randomly picked is #73, Maria who blogs at Every Day is A Country Song. She has a post on her history called Crazy Faith. I love how she posts a country song as the theme for each post! Her newest post was celebrating LOVE for her friend’s wedding and Natasha Beddingfield’s Wild Horses. And this post was both crafty and fun in Here For A Good Time.

  Next up is #14, Stefanie from Through the eyes of a Stranger.  In her Welcome post, she is hoping to meet some new followers! ;-) In Venting, she’s looking for support and reaching out. And here are some awesome pictures from her business trip to Dubai!  You can read more about her journey here.

  And lastly, we have #69, Jenny from The Long Way Around. In Too Much To Ask For? she writes about how mad she was that a friend didn’t acknowledge her miscarriage during a recent gathering and wanted to know if you had similar tales to share. She has a Welcome ICLW post and is looking for some support. In Doing Well, she writes so powerfully with how she is handling this second loss. I love how she writes, “I’m just grateful that I have been able to stay so strong about this.”

Lovin’ Heather, Jill, and Lees J!

  It’s that time of the week again! It’s BL time! ;-)

  First up is Heather from A Little Hope in My Pocket. She recently took a trip to Alaska and has amazing photos (with another trip part here and here)! She also participated in a Walk To Remember with her family to honor her little boy in heaven, Isaac where they released balloons. Go send her some love and support!

  Next up is Jill from High Heels and Huggies. She is quite profound in her post Say hello to the Green Eyed Monster complete with life lessons. I love when she writes, “Don’t let it consume you.” She has an interesting vlog on Pimples and Parenting Choices. And in Not sad but not happy either, she discusses giving up, but hoping for a green light for an upcoming IUI. Go wish her luck and send her some love!

  And lastly, we have Lees J from Under Our Tree. She has recently celebrated her sixth year wedding anniversary and has scheduled an appointment with an RE. Love how she says, “after all we’ve been through, we have been through it together.” How sweet! She recently had a BFN and in The art of losing what you never had , she is contemplating her next steps. Go send her some love, support and happy wishes!

Lovin’ Jaime, Lyndsay, and Darek!

It’s BL time! ;-)

  First up is Jaime from IUI to Roux-en-Y to ?? She went through a Roux-en-Y bypass surgery this summer and has now lost 100 pounds! Wow! She admits to being a bad blogger but has been busy with phlebotomy classes. Jaime participated in ICLW last month, so here’s a welcome post all about her history. And in her newest post, she is thanking all her new followers and celebrating her first anniversary! Go congratulate her and say hello!

  Next up is Lyndsay from Waiting for that Positive.  In her Positivity post, she lists all the things that are positive for her right now as she waits for her upcoming IUI cycle! She has had some ups and downs that you can read about. And, she recently reviewed The Conception Chronicles for The Ladies in Waiting Book Club. Check it out and wish her some luck!

 And lastly, I’m lovin’ Darek from The Eternal Guest Room! She is scared about her upcoming IVF cycle and overwhelmed by the process. She recently visited the newest member of her family, her sister’s son and expresses some real moments of sadness but I love it when she writes, “Sometimes the hardest things in life turn out to be the best things you can do, and this was one of them.” And in something crazy, she recently decided to lead her support group which she has been going to for over a year and a half but has been so shy at. Go send her some love and encouragement and wish her some luck!

Lovin’ Evedelilah, Shelli, and Andrea!

 It’s Blog Love time and I’ve been out of my usual BL routine, so I’m excited to dive back in to my list. ;-)

  First up, I’m lovin’ Evedelilah from Tripping Over Life’s Hurdles. She has a very poignant post about hope called Feeling Unpretty in a Pretty World. And in Not So Patiently Waiting, she tells all about the busy plans underway of moving, starting the process of foster parenting, a surgery and an upcoming IVF. Also, check out the books she read over the summer! (*I just added one of them to my Shelfari!) Wish her some luck and send her some love!

  Next up is Shelli from BagMomma. She had a recent and unfortunate doctor visit where she was told her hair loss is most likely a by-product of stress in Hair today, gone tomorrow. She also had a recent 9/11 post called Ten Years. And in The Wheel, she writes about feeling like a failure, something so relatable and yet so raw. Hugs Shelli! Go send her some love!

  And lastly, is Andrea from Palm Trees & Rainy Days. Her Meds have been ordered for her IVF cycle which is starting soon and she is super excited! She linked to an interesting article on the benefits of DHEA which her RE recommended. And, she is also questioning the Why? I’ve asked it too a thousand times and I’m sure you have too but I love when she says, “I truly believe we are some of THE strongest women out there.” Go wish her some luck and send some love her way!
