Well, I’m sure you’ve heard by now that there are more celebrities in the news pregnant after going through infertility. Kelly Preston (who is 47) is now pregnant after trying many years unsuccessfully. (There has been speculation of IVF but it has not been confirmed.) And Celine Dion (who is 42) recently became pregnant with twins after 6 IVF cycles. She just found out she’s having boys!
With celebrities over 40 potentially making it look so ‘easy’ we wonder if 40 is the new 30 when it comes to pregnancies? Well, not quite. Here’s an article and video from Dr. Jennifer Ashton about the realities of fertility and age in this country. Check it out!

I SO think Preston’s was the result of IVF and most likely donor eggs, but they would never tell you that!
And, Celine, God bless her for going through it 6 times!
The Hollywood set has an advantage that most of us do not….they can try and try and try and try, as they have the funds to do so! And, most of us just can’t continue to exhaust thousands of dollars on the process. Celine Dion must have spent upwards of $120k on treatments alone, not to mention the med’s. Ugh, so exhausting!
