This week I wanted to talk about music. Music can be a great uplifting way to get out of a slump or a way to help you have a good cry. It can take you to a dreamy place in the future or help you remember something or someone in your past. And many, many times, it can help us feel more connected to a world that we feel so alone in. I would love to know what songs inspire you and help you get through your infertility. Leave a comment to add to the list!!
Here’s what I have so far…
Kellie Coffey - I Would Die For That
Dawn Landes Cover of Tom Petty – I Won’t Back Down
Lee Ann Womack – I Hope You Dance
Addison Road – Hope Now
Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush – Don’t Give Up
Christina Aguilera – Beautiful
Paul Simon – The Cool, Cool River
Bebo Norman – I Will Lift My Eyes
Russel Watson – Where My Heart Will Take Me
Kate Bush – This Woman’s Work
Sara McLachlan – Ordinary Miracle
Please add a comment to add some more! Thanks so much!!
And here’s the video of the first song on the list by Kelley Coffey. This one made me cry. So powerful!

The Kellie Coffey song kills me EVERY TIME.
Anyway, I have a couple, and while not SPECIFICALLY child or IF related, they are still songs that get me through…
“Don’t Give Up” by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush
“Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera
“The Cool Cool River” by Paul Simon
I am a huge music person, so I’m all over the place, but those always come to mind…
These ones are some of my faves when I’m needing inspiration:
Held by Natalie Grant
Bring The Rain by MercyMe
I Will Lift My Eyes by Bebo Norman
The Kelley Coffey song gets me every time. I’m always in tears when I watch the video, but inspired at the same time knowing there are others who understand what I’m going through.
The Kellie Coffey gets me everytime too!
The song I’m loving right now is “More Than Life” by Whitley…it was in an episode of Flashforward & I just love it.
Wow I never heard that song before very moving and emotional…I am going to post that one on my blog….:)
Russell Watson “Faith of the Heart”
Thanks for the ICLW visit! I’d never heard the Kellie Coffey song before … amazing, really amazing. More people need to hear it!!! I’m so glad you posted the link!
